Mastectomy this Thursday..
I am booked in for a single mastectomy (followed by chemo and radio) this Thursday. I tried to discuss with my surgeon the possibility of removing both breasts at the same time, one being preventative...
Don't worry @Fernweh sometimes our determination gets flown out the window in the beginning as we in a whirlwind, and need to gather our team. Thankfully you took that step and got in touch with your surgeon by email today. I am all for not being complacent when it comes to our health concerns. Too late if you didn't make contact today and dreaded tomorrow's surgery. I hope some of us didn't come across as too pushy, but I believe you were not happy until you had more discussions with your surgeon. Now you have a new surgery date, yippee, and some breathing space. :)
