LOL That is so funny, @Blossom1961  .... yes, and appropriate!  ;)  

I find that a warped or dark sense of humour really helps me in a lot of situations!

As I lay in bed this morning I was reflecting on my current emotions. I told myself I felt flat. Then I laughed because that was so appropriate. Oh dear. I am so warped.

@Blossom1961 I’m going pretty good, had the drain taken out yesterday thank goodness, I was very close to ripping out the previous night haha.  Pain is not so bad, just on panadol, I get totally spaced out on anything stronger.  Tired my goodness have never felt so tired, it’s 6 weeks today since diagnosis so think my mind and body has just gone into shutdown forcing me to rest.

@JulieSav Now day 9 and the pain near the mastectomy site feels like someone is pinching me really hard. Will take a tramadol tonight if this pain doesn't subside as I need some sleep. How are you going? 
 I still have one drain in but the one that was causing me the most grief has been removed. Still feeling really tired but I can accept that. 

@socoda I will ask my home nurse to put extra tape on today. That makes sense.
@Sister Anything I put in my mouth at the moment blocks me up. The doctors have me on laxatives but they are barely working. I will speak to my BC nurse tomorrow as she is the only medical person who is concerned about it. I tried going off the laxatives but ended up in all kinds of pain even with all the high fibre foods and concoctions I was eating. Hence, ONE of the reasons I am hesitant to take extra pain killers. The doctor has me on a three week regime of high dosage laxatives. It is going to be so hard for my body to transition back to normal.

Just remember that Tramadol does the same as codeine - it blocks you up.  Make sure that you're "regular" as the ads say before leaving hospital.

I was still throwing up day 3 so I was miserable. You'll turn the corner soon. X

Hi @Blossom1961, I had one of my drains in for a number of weeks and found extra tape (micropore) to really tape it to your side and stop any swinging made a huge difference to the pain level. If you had axillary nodes out your underarm will feel like you've been attacked with a cheese grater for the first couple of weeks and then that will die down. Until then take your drugs, that's what they're there for. Big hugs lovely. Xx
