Its always hard to advise as everyone is different.
I had a large tumour (6.5 cm) so my advice was pretty clear to have a mastectomy followed by radiotherapy.
My breast cancer surgeon went through the options of lumpectomy versus mastectomy at the first consult but once the mri showed the extent if the tumour lumpectomy was off the table,
I have always asked my medical team “ what would you do if it was you ( or your mum”.
