Looking for information re: scans or ultrasounds after having double mastectomy
i had a double mastectomy 4 years ago and was wondering if anybody has been offered a scan or ultrasound of the chest wall post treatment.
No....I haven't been offered anything either..even though cancer was found in both breasts and both sentinel nodes on either side...but no axillary clearance. As I mentioned it will be 5 years this May since diagnosis....I agree that we are all anxious of reoccurrence. I also feel that it would be beneficial if there was something in place...even a yearly scan just to check....just to give some reassurance...allay some anxiety.
