@kmakm. I had excruciating pain when I had my thankfully only drain removed by one of the nurses at home after my full mastectomy. Just about broke my husbands had, screamed, swore and then thought I was going to throw up or pass out. I know have a huge phobia about it. Had another one removed in hospital with the partial mastectomy and that was just a weird sensation but not painful. @"Holly Prevails" @Sister @iserbrown @chocolate70 I have been quite lucky and am 3 months post surgery and have no issues at all with where the drain was.
I had mine removed in the surgeon's rooms 2 days ago after 2 weeks, screamed when it really hurt. The lovely BCN was saying, Ssh ssh. The Dr went out and came back to have another go, and I then broke both hands of BCN and screamed, but quietly. Also thought I was going to pass out. 4 years ago it was taken out at home by DN after 2 days with no issues whatsoever.
