Is this normal after double mastectomy?
Had bilateral mastectomy 5 April 2018. Sentinel node biopsies too. 1 drain each side. 2nd drain removed 12April. Should I be concerned by tightness and soreness across my chest and into the underneath...
I'm so lucky. Surgeon and pathology review today. They did discover more issues in my dense breasts. But not invasive, sentinel nodes clear, no radiotherapy, no chemo. Could have hormone therapy but risk so low I'm not doing it. So I'm so grateful that Breastscreen picked up the anomaly and that only because it was in a position where was seen in my dense breasts on mammography. So I need to do my exercises (physio today has supplied mire) and recover from surgery. When I consider the journeys that others are enduring I feel humbled by my good luck. Gosh I'm going to celebrate with a can of Apple Cider.
