Is this normal after double mastectomy?
Had bilateral mastectomy 5 April 2018. Sentinel node biopsies too. 1 drain each side. 2nd drain removed 12April. Should I be concerned by tightness and soreness across my chest and into the underneath...

Hey @goingdancing . Some people develop a condition called cording post surgery. It feels a bit like there are guitar strings running through your armpit to your arms or chest. Its a random thing and no one seems to know exactly what causes it or even what the very obvious physical symptoms actually are. Anyway, it's common. And revolting. And it may not be the problem anyway. Gosh, that was helpful, wasn't it.... Not.
Get hold of your nurse if things aren't better today . You might need to get a referal for some physio later to help loosen things up a bit, it's early days for you still, just take it easy and keep notes about what is going on--it makes it easier to describe time frames . Mx
