@LisaO it is hard to tell whether menopause was on its way and coincided with your surgery. When I went through menopause my periods were all over the place. Some light some heavy. I would also recommend to see your GP .As to urinary tract infections well I am very good at catching them particularly after surgery. So for me pretty common. Hope surgery goes well and recovery is swift.
