How wonderful it is to get those drains out. I remember going into my bilateral node clearance two weeks after my bilateral masectomy with one of my drains still in as I ended up with an infection and it wasn't removed till my second surgery when it was replaced with another.
I think if I was you I would be going to the hospital if your fever continues or you feel yuk in yourself as you really need to be so careful.
I know its a drag to sit and wait but if you do go and you still have hair as you havnt had chemo ? Try wearing a scarf to the hospital as you will get processed through emergency much quicker. My oncologist told me that little trick
Look after yourself. Don't let any if the doctors send you home if you still feel you should be admitted.
A young doctor told me I was anxious about my second chemo and that's why I was feeling out of breath. He said you are fine now so I'm sending you home.
I knew I wasn't well so demanded a nurse get me another doctor. I could hardly talk I was that breathless.
I was quickly diagnosed with bilateral clots on my lungs and spent more than a week in hospital
