Sorry to hear about your diagnosis and yes, the waiting game is terrible. It will depend on your results from the surgery as to whether you have chemo and which chemo and for how long. I personally couldn't work during chemo, I had 3 treatments of some drugs and then 3 treatments of another. The last 3 hit me hard (doesn't happen to everybody) and there was no way I could have worked. As Donna said, the risk of infection is crucial during chemo because chemo lowers the white cells which fight off infections.
