Yes the bone aches are awful, but they go away after a few days.
I too didn't worry about wigs. Too hot here in Brisbane. I borrowed a really nice short wig from the Cancer Council because I had to get a new licence photo. But apart from one other dinner before Christmas, I have just worn scarves and caps. My hair is now regrowing as I finished chemo on Christmas Eve and I can't wait for it to fill in a bit more on my scalp and I will go au natural.
The Look Good Feel Better workshop is worth attending. You get to meet other women and also come home with a big bag full of great products. I have worn so much more makeup since, especially having no eyebrows and eyelashes! I thought I'd have trouble drawing in eyebrows, but there were still a few stray hairs left that guided me. I never used to wear much more than some mascara, but since my chemo I've been wearing all the eyeshadow they gave me.
I hope you don't feel too unwell during your treatment Donna. I finished my radiation a couple of days ago. I can't say it was a breeze but I won't go into details.
Cheers
Helen
