Saw the specialist on Friday, there is a bit of root that got away, need to go back in and get it out, close to skin. Also nodes tested positive, so rest of nodes are to be removed. Really sunk me, the pain of the surgery has made me a bit scared. The pain I had was most likely the muscle. Oh well, one day at a time.

Thanks Mira, yes I did, it helps a bit. There's slight improvement every day.

Scalena, did they give you one of those pink round pillows? Maybe that would help.
cheers

Thanks Summer. I can't take anything with codeine in, but on the upside, the pain has eased today. It must just be the wound, maybe the lymph gets triggered when I go to the loo, but I've found if I hold my boob (almost want to call it bob now coz its smaller!) it seems better.
- June1952MemberHi Scalena I replied this morning but see it is not here so here I go again. Like you, I was on Panadol Osteo for arthritis and as I had to take so many (they dole them out like sweets, the same in nursing homes) so asked the pharmacist if there was anything else. He recommended Panadeine and this was approved by the drs. I now take ONE Panadeine per day - but had two after my surgery. Hope this info helps you. Hope you are getting some relief from the original pain. I now get pain where the boob was so will be asking my surgeon when I see him next month. Take care Summer :-)

Thanks, yes it is the wound site. I didn't get pain killers, only panadol osteo which I'm already on for arthritis.

No, I haven't been shown how to lift myself. The nurse didn't seem to think it was an issue. I'm home and it's really sore every time I go to the toilet, the wound site is where the pain is.
