Hi
I was diagnosed late November last year at the age of 42. I couldn't believe that "I" was being told I had breast cancer. When I walked out of the specialists rooms that Friday afternoon, I felt like my world was coming down around me.
But, I am a lucky one that has a big family and lots of friends around to support me.
All I can say is, stay positive. It is really hard to do sometimes, but you have to shake off the bad feelings and get on with what you have to do.
The breast care nurses are the most wonderful people in the world and will help you every step of the way.
I joined a support group and it was the best thing I could have done. The women in this group are amazing. And now that I have found this website, I feel that bit better again. It helps you to remember that you are not alone in this battle. there are people out there to talk to.
Good luck with everything. I really do hope it all turns out well for you.
