Early Detection

I have recently been diagnosed (2 days ago) with a borderline Phyllodes tumor in my left breast. I found a small lump in early December and was sent for a mammogram and Ultasound. It came back probable fibroadenoma. A core biopsy was done just to confirm. The letter from the pathologist sounded like they googled to get info. I have been referred to the Breast Clinic at the Gold Coast Hospital. The treatment recommended is a wide margin excision. It has grown from 7mm to 20mm in a month. It's all very new to me and my family so I am information hungry. I came across this site and was relieved that people were proactive in getting information and support out there in Australia. It saddened me but also gave me hope to read everyones honest thoughts and experiences. Thank you for sharing.
