Dried blood Collection.
A friend in America has just had a double mastectomy. Apparently she has dried blood in the surgery area. The surgeon has told her that he may have to operate to remove it if it doesn't emulsify by it...
Well I guess its a haematoma that is drying out and therefore not being sucked out by tbe drain. Left there could mean eventually a pocket that could lead to a seroma so I guess in reality they would only go back in if they have to. I'm sure it wouldn't be much bigger than the scar from laprascopic surgery but I'm just guessing.
