I have a vague memory of some drawing done when the put the blue dye in but not much made it through my brain that day. Standouts were the man who had to inject the dye being so sincerely apologetic that he had hurt me and the nurse in the pre-op room chatting away to me about how they'd recently lost a nursing colleague to BC. Oh, and the surgeon holding my hand to calm me while the anaesthetist did his thing in the other arm.
