Applevic though it was a while ago now 2017 in fact. I had lumpectomy breast conservative surgery and yes I had the itch on my breast mostly around the surgery scar. (It was a bit extensive as my tumours feelers had latched onto my skin. )
The random pains sometimes like a being stuck with a needle. And random gripping stabs definitely nerves coming back to life. Watch for and blotchy red hot areas if you’re unsure get your breast care nurse to check it out. I had a small area of infection at one of the stitches which delayed the radiation. They still did the staging and my dot tattoos etc fortunately a dose of antibiotics cleared it up. And rads went ahead.
Biggest advice is know that radiation has a delayed effect its a whole new feeling of tired.
Theres a couple of products available to protect the breast from burning check with the radiation team or someone else might jump on with the names of the products I was never offered anything just sorbolene cream / vitamin E which i kept up long after and still do it now just not as regular.
I found the rads the easiest part of the whole treatment and each session the preparation took longer than the actual zapping.
just be sure at your radiation staging/planning ask all the questions you feel you need to have cleared up.
best wishes with how it all goes keep us updated
