COUNT DOWN IS ON

Hi all, 

Well it is now only 6 days until I go into hospital to have the operation done.  After everything that I had decided on it has now all changed cos of the new Surgeon. Dr Lucia Saliba has given me an option that I did not know I could have.  

Next Thursday 28th July I will be having a Reduction and lift to both breasts. I will have the Ca. removed along with the Sentinel Nodes and then all going well 6 weeks of Radiotherapy every day (5 days/week).  Fingers are crossed for a clear margin around the lesions and then I can get back to work in a few weeks and get on with my life. 

Today i finished up work for the next 3 weeks and hoping that everything goes as planned. Mapping will be done on Wednesday arvo and then the hook-wire insitu on Thursday morning then straight into OT for my 5-6 hour long surgery at Auburn Hospital. 

Here's hoping all goods well and i come out the other side with nice new perky boobs and NO BREAST CANCER.

    thanks to everyone for the support.. I know there are alot of women on this site who dont get the opportunity to get an option that is good for you and the surgeon but Im hoping mine is after the very full on day im about to have on Thursday. 

    Tomorrow arvo I go for the mapping and then the hook wire on Thursday morning and then straight into OT as they will be waiting for me to get the Hook Wire done. 

    2 more sleeps now and then the next part of this journey will begin.

    It is great she has given you that option and you hopefully just have the one surgery...

    So here is to clear margins and clear node(s) and hoping radiation is all that is required and back to normallity for you in a few months ??
