Try not to worry Gillian.It is more than likely that it is not clear to your surgeon just what it is.The only way that they can really tell what an odd area is,is by doing the biopsy.I understand that you would be feeling sick with worry.I am sure that anyone would be,but as you know,in the BC experience,often things are not what we assume.Try to stay busy until the 11 th.or maybe try again to get hold of your surgeon,and he might be able to give you more of an idea why you need the core biopsy.Take care.xoxRobyn
