Blue dye injection -Please share your experience

I had my dye injected the morning of my surgery. I only had my surgery on Monday. It felt like a bit of a bee sting but it wasn't painful at all.

I’m booked two weeks i chose lumpectomy i gave been told after the dye i need to go and get a hook wire attached so surgeon knows where to look did you have this ?
Hi Suzywong Yes I had a hookwire attached the morning before my surgery. Two were performed using ultrasound and one using a mammogram. This was done after the blue dyed was injected the morning of my surgery

Did you get the injection in the arm or the areola?

The surgery went well and apart from being tired am recovering well. I have not needed any painkillers just been more uncomfortable than painful. I had the injection in the areola. Hope all goes well for you
