  • Oh i dont know wot to do' im going insain', i have to c the doc 2morrow and talk to him bout havig a double mastecromy, only cos thats where its started and i cant see or feel the one in my organs and bones, but in my breasts i see it and feel it all the time,,,so watch this space for results.

  • Hi Cobie, I also have a thick lump between my sentinel node biopsy scar, and my mastectomy scar. I found this awhile ago, and my surgeon, P.S and Oncologist and GP all think it is just scar tissue. I still worry, so have also had 2 ultrasounds 12 months apart, with emphasis on this area. Nothing has ever shown up, so they say scar tissue. It still worries me, and sometimes I am very aware of it. When I fiddle with it, it becomes tender, and so I poke it more. It is so hard to not always think the worst. When I see my surgeon at the end of the year, I will again ask him to feel it. I hope your lump is nothing sinister. Good luck. Love Chris.xx

i had my first lumpectomy on the 15th decem 2012

that was scary enough as the "seroma" fluid got infected and by easter i was in hopsital getting 1.5l of infected goo drained out of it,, all the time i was telling the "professionals" that there was something wrong they just said that i had to wait for the fluid to be reobsorbed into my body,,,,WRONG it was infected and i wasnt listened to...

yes i will ring them on monday,, thank you for that,,, i didnt even think of that,,,

i am staying busy but it s  hard not to feel the lump wen i get into the shower or getting dressed,,,

thank you ladies,, have a great weekend,,, i am,, i have loads of gardening to do..

  • I would suggest that you call them and be put on a cancellation list, explain that this is just not a yearly check up.  As Tonya says you should get that squeeky wheel going.

  • You poor darl, that's too long to have to wait  for a mammogram. The waiting makes you so anxious.Try ringing each day to see if there is a cancellation- the squeeky wheel gets the oil! I hope you can get in sooner-keep extra busy.
