I'm not sure why they don't warn us of this - it's frightening and confusing - but please don't despair as it's unlikely to cause long-term problems with activity. Go and see a specialist physio to ensure that you are recovering movement properly and that you are measured for a baseline for potential lymphoedema - another thing that is often not spoke about enough before surgery. I don't think @kezmusc has let it slow her down with horses!
