Hi Newbie3312, numbness is very normal, you may get tingling down the track when things start to heal more. I remember shooting pains after surgery. It’s early days yet as you have just had surgery, your body is saying what the hell just happened, take pain relief and do your exercises.
That’s very poor that you weren’t given any exercises to do, I would speak to the breast care nurses about that at your surgeons room. I was given and shown by the breast care nurse when she visited me the morning after surgery to start exercises, you slowly build up . The sooner you do that the better to regain movement. Uncomfortable to start but does get better.
If you are not to sure about something please contact your surgeon rooms and speak with one of the breast care nurses, they will guide you. If something doesn’t feel right call them, if not I g they will put you mind at ease.
