Nice to hear from you,but sorry you have pain.I posted on my blog last week about tightness that I have recently been feeling on my right side, which is the side I had my mastectomy on.But actually,it is just painful, and not getting any better. It has just appeared, and I actually went to the doctor during the week,as I could actually pinpoint an area of pain.He sent me for an X-ray,thinking I may have damaged a rib,but it came back fine,so the doctor said it is most likely cartilage damage.Perhaps I have strained too much without realising,he said. I am actually taking neurofen to help me sleep at night, and I have never had any thing like this before.I am starting to think that after a mastectomy,we are a lot more vulnerable than we realise, because of all the damage to nerves and muscles that takes place. One lady replied to my post that her doctor told her that pain months after surgery can be attributed to nerve regeneration also.I hope you get to the bottom of what is causing your problem.Cheers xoxRobyn
