I saw a plastic surgeon for my keloid after I had my port removed. The keloid was raised, ugly & sore. He "shaved" the keloid off. I was awake when he did the procedure. Then I had to put a silicone bandage on it for some months. There is still a scar there but it is not ugly or raised anymore.
