It has in the past. I had the port removed in July 2017 and the scar is prominent. It's settled a bit in the last few months, which coincides with some improvement in my physical well well being--reduction in foot and leg pain and nerve pain in my arm and chest. Perhaps it's related to some sort of general inflammatory response?
I've got a number of keloid scars but I don't remember any of the others being so irritating for so long. As you describe its itchy and scratchy and it pulls. I'm blaming the bloody dissolvable (not) stitches for this one. Some of the others were caused by injuries which were a bit messy. This one is a surgical wound and should have healed better. Never mind. I look like a patchwork quilt anyway.
