6 Months on ......
Well its been 6 months since my wide local excision , seem to be going ok according to surgeons, oncologists etc..
My dilemma is I can't seem to get a handle on what my boob should feel like as far as feeling for lumps(god forbid I find one!!) The scar tissue is of course lumpy , so find it hard to determine what's what!!! Does the scar tissue stay as is or does it lessen over time ?
Any advice welcomed please ….

- MiraMemberI get you @tigerbeth, that niggling in the brain has me checking for lumps all the time! Its almost a reflex now, I do it without thinking sometimes and then go "oops, glad no one can see me!"
- tigerbethMember@Mira yes I guess they are paid the big bucks for a reason !
Mine wasn't fast growing either , but still that niggling in the brain won't be quiet !!
Guess I'll have to get used to the current state as best I can ! - MiraMember@tigerbeth, I let the doctors worry about it, that's what they are trained for and paid for. In my case the lump wasn't a fast growing one, so I'm not expecting a new lump to just appear overnight.
- tigerbethMember@Mira ,wow not the answer I was hoping for !! How stressful this is going to be !! Forever !!
F**k cancer !! - MiraMemberMine is still lumpy 3.5 years later! Every time I think I get a handle on the lumps they seem to change, but scans don't show anything
