Zometa infusions

I had my second Zometa infusion about 6 weeks ago. I finished chemo in Feb 2017 & my oncologist suggested it to me last August to help with bone density. There is also some research to show it might prevent metastasis to bones so I agreed. Apparently I am having a course of 6 every six months. The infusion itself only takes about 20 mins & you can experience aches & pains the next day & tiredness. There can be other side affects but I didn’t have them. Your oncologist will explain the pros & cons but for me I thought the benefit is worthwhile as I don’t want to discontinue Letrozole if my bone health declines & the added benefit of preventing bone metastasis.
