Hi Linda,
I too have had BC (breast cancer) twice. I was told each time my hair would start to fall out at around 14 days after first chemo... It was exactly then when it did!! I was like you the first time and got it cut short first. However once it started to fall out I had it shaved off. My second diagnosis my hair was short and full of chemo curls. For some reason it was harder to lose second time around. So this time I got it buzzed to about a number four. This was probably the worst decision I made as when those tiny short hairs started to fall out they were everywhere. I felt a bit bad as it was Mother's Day and we had booked into a resort for the night. OMG the poor cleaners, my hair was all over the place. My advice is keep your hair until you notice it falling out and then go the shave.
Its really ok once you get used to it. And it grows back strong and healthy.
Big hugs to you.
