We all experience those fears, especially when you are in between treatments.  My onocologist always used logic when I would overthink and worry.  I dont know your situation but if the chemo worked (did you have MRI's or something to monitor it), it wont change that quickly. I finished chemo in August and had my mastectomy/immed recon in March this year. The pathology showed a complete pathological response with no cancer cells to be seen.  Translating to the chemo reducing solid tumours to nothing, so it would have the same effect on my whole body.  Try and talk with your oncologist or if there is pychonco or a social worker you can contact at your hospital in between. I found them to be my good go-between when I couldnt get hold of my Oncologist for specific questions.  Good luck with your surgery.
