My hair also fell out exactly two weeks after my first AC chemo, but I have heard of it falling out earlier. My scalp didn't itch, but it felt sunburned and sore. Like Deanne, my hair felt awful (looked OK) and I was not at all sad to have it go - felt like I was wearing someone else's hair, a sensation I never got with a wig! But the early loss may also be a combination of chemo and the natural stress of going through the whole business. Shaving or cutting very short will help. Your GP may also be able to prescribe some lotion to assist. I had a bit of hair loss (more accelerated shedding) a long time post chemo, and a lotion called Novasone helped stabilise things and get rid of an itchy feeling. We never did find out the cause (not stress, not deficiencies, only thing detectable was mild dandruff!) but everything settled, and hair can alter its normal shedding cycles from time to time.
