site of injection of Neulasta

hi everyone well I started my chemo yesterday (AC) under the cold cap and had my Neulasta injection today. I've been taking claratyne and pandol since and know there is bone and joint pain to come. I had dengue fever twice in 2010 and been told its an awful lot like that. ugh. but I wanted to as about the site where they inject - is it common to have bruising or tenderness there? thanks in advance.
  • Morning @LisaJHM. I had the injection in my stomach & didn’t have any bruising. Also didn’t have any bone pain. Used claratyne
  • I took the neulasta kit home and did it myself...I must be ok at it as I didn't get any bruising!
I was told it couldn't be done within 24 hours of the chemo infusion. I only had minor bone pain after two of the six injections I had to do.
  • I had a lovely bruise at the injection site. This won’t hurt they informed me. The usual, “just a little scratch”
  • yes very common to have bruising and tenderness where they inject you.
