Well we did it, shaved our heads Saturday. It was quite traumatic more than I expected for myself. Getting used to it now. 

You are SO right! The wig makers are going to ADORE his hair, and as for the recipient... ecstatic! He's a keeper. Would love to see the after photo if/when he's game!! K xox

I agree with @kmakm. Hot showers on a bald head are SENSATIONAL. Almost worth going bald all over again.

You and @Pinkcloverss are going to love showers. Hot water on a bald scone is sensational. Everyone loved how I looked bald. Even two days ago my (new) hairdresser was asking me how fast and when it grew back. I showed her a photo and she also exclaimed how good I looked (my husband called me his sexy alien ;) ). Now I am no head turner, never have been, so it's been so odd to hear people say how good I look with NO hair! Now that it's grown back I'm keeping my hair short. Love how it looks, and SO easy. K xox

Hubs is going to donate his to the variety children’s charity to be made into wigs for kids, what a lucky little girl who will get his! Dark blonde with sun highlights through and a stunning natural wave! He loves his hair and said he’s growing it back immediately !! Haha. 

@youngdogmum My husband said he'd do that too... making a frightful dad joke because he's already bald!

I got a free wig on loan from the cancer council and yesterday went to starkles to try some more on, ended up buying one online last night - at a saving of over $200 compared to the starkles cost! Hopefully it turns out to be the same !! 
My local cancer council were lovely I highly recommend going and having a play. However they didn’t have that many that were a young woman’s wig (more older woman’s style which is fine if that’s what you are!!! I felt it would be a dead giveaway though being so young ha ha) so I ended up taking a long wavy one close to my natural that will be good for lunch/dinner out but for everyday I thought something short would be better. So I chose a short blonde bob after trying them on at starkles :) 

ive also gone to spotlight and bought a few 150x100 pieces of light flowy fabric to make into my own wraps, much cheaper if you hit the sale stand!! And definately cheaper than buying them from a store... op shops are a really good idea I haven’t been to any yet!! 

My hospital doesn’t offer cold capping and I personally couldn’t sit through it I dont think. My husband and I are both shaving our heads when I feel ready (he has long blonde surfer locks!) we’ve actually raised quite a bit of money for research doing this!!! 

Best of luck, we will be bald together if you end up losing your hair 🤪

Always good to keep your options open.  You can always discontinue with the caps if it's not working for you.
