Pain

Went to doctor on Monday and I don't have to tell you ladies how I was feeling. I had to be drained and my husband casually asked how his new was, he said.GET THIS, infront of a patient

"Any time away from  here is good.."

Like we really want to be with him at the hospital in pain and without a body part.. I wanted to say .. I will swap places with him.. he can loose half a chest , be in agony , blow up like Mischelin tire Man, and have Cancer. But I didn't. Consequently I am not looking forward to friday's apptment when I find out the results of path. He will proabably say like last time.. I told you so I 've seen it all before...blah,blah blah. Its bad enough  am in pain. and miserable. have to listen to his winge about nothing...you would think we  want to see to see doctors. I did not expect it to be as bad as the hysterechtomy.

    Fair call Peta, what a pooper, certainly not the best way to build a rapport with your patients! 

    With radiotherpy I got wicked burns, the Dr took a look and said 'there not the worst I've seen' I felt like he was saying I was being a sook, but also bit my tongue to stop myself saying well if it was your boob I'm sure you wouldn't be so flippint!

    i honestly think sometimes some Drs forget their dealings with humans who are in pain, scared and frustrated and we look to them for comfort and support.

    Hi PETA, so sorry for that doctors insensitivity. Honestly you wonder why some people become doctors if they don't enjoy their work. Don't be afraid to pull him up for his attitude, sometimes they need reminding that compassion is part of the service. Will be thinking of you tomorrow, hope the results are good and the swelling comes down. I got a lot of relief from ice packs, don't think it helped swelling but sure felt good.     Its almost Friday. Getting the path results so you know what you've been up against should be a good thing. At least you will know where you stand. Ask for a printed out copy too and put it in your breast diary.

    Had a giggle to myself about your Dr. What if you lay in wait next visit and if the wining comes out, say oh "shut up your wining you big sook". Oh goodness the look on his face could be priceless!

    So glad I don't have to have my drain cleared any more. The relief was instant but such a mess about getting someone to actually do it for me was a drag. We sat in emergency for three hours in New Years Eve for one appointment but at least the did it for me and didn't pass the buck and say come back another day.

    Good morning Peta sorry you are feeling crap, hang in there and try and stay positive., I know that is easier said than done. At least when you go back you will have a idea of what treatment is a head of you. Sending you a big hugxxx
