Hi @Locksley, good on you for persevering with the ice. I did it too for all of my chemo sessions 3 1/2 years ago now and kept all of my nails and had no peripheral neuropathy , just a tingle towards the end on the tip of one little finger.
If the tingling is happening more in your toes, you might need to ditch the socks and ice packs. I used a cake container from the Reject shop and balanced it on a small esky (as I couldn't reach the floor with my short legs !) , wrapped my legs in bags and plunged my feet into the ice, your feet then have more contact with the ice and I think that makes all the difference. All the best with the rest of your chemo and your radiotherapy !
