Ovaries removed before menopause

Hi Anyone, I am a 39 year old mother of 3. I was diagnosed 2 years ago, I have finished all my treatments but I was told last week I needed to have my ovaries out as after my chemo and tamoxifen treatments they have started working again and my estrogen levels that should be around 70 are up around the 3500 mark. I was also ER+ and PR+ so they think its best to take them out. I was wondering if there is any pre menopausal women out there that could tell me how having their ovaries removed has effected them. I guess I just want to know what it's going to do to my body and mind? Thanks in advance Linda

    I'll be 39 this August and it will be my 2nd year this September. I had my ovaries removed last year due to a small cysts and polyps, but my menstruation stop even before I had my ovaries removed. I stop menstruating on the 2nd cycle of my chemo, and I still do have hot flushes, mood swings and depression which I think I am getting a bit good with my emotions now since I've seen a psychologist for a few sessions. But I experienced an abnormal bleeding twice so I need to have a hysteroscopy, supposed to be today but the doctor cancel the clinic suddenly so I have to wait till October for this. I had ultrasound before and it was fine, the reason why I need hysteroscopy is because they can't measure the lining of my uterus apparently they can't see much here so just to make sure we're gonna do the hysteroscopy.     Thank you so much for passing on the information from your friend, I know when it comes down to it I will know in my mind its the right thing to do for my body I just need to get my head around it & like you said find the silver lining which I guess will be me being healthy and cancer free Thanks again Linda
