I too have felt that stickiness, and irritation when my armpit is in contact with my side. I have found that wearing a close fitting shirt, with close fitting sleeves, keeps my pits padded or protected, and reduces skin irritation and me noticing the stickiness so much

I wore a T shirt with no seams to bed as for 5 weeks post surgery I could not bear the feeling of 'contact' or fabric moving over the (underam/lymph ) site. The underarm area is so sensitive.
