Hi Emrod11, This one is a bit left field but I have found using flannette rather than cotton sheets to be helpful. Cotton just ends up soaking wet but for some reason the flannette isn't as bad and I have slept better since the change including summer time.
Also I agree with the ice cold water and always wearing layers you can easily dispense with. Winter is better - at least you can cool off outside. Another idea is a little portable fan if your working.
It is tough going straight into menopause so good luck and try to stay positive.
