@Sister ... I was 14 when my dad died from his final heart attack and like you, it screwed me up for years. 50 years this Aug. My mother had pissed off with another bloke when I was 2 and Dad got custody of the 4 kids, initially having a house keeper to look after us. He had his first big one 8 years previous and hospitalised for ages and all us kids were put in boarding school back then ... I was 7 and remained in boarding school for 10 years til HSC.
So my BC diagnosis was a total shock, as our family history has always been heart attacks ... Dad’s brother died of one the same year, tho he was 10 years older.
I SO feel for you all with young kids in particular ...... as I have none. My heart goes out to you all. xxx
