I finished chemo a year ago and still look awful in the hair department. No eyebrows, a very receeded hairline and a fine fuzz of short hair that is nowhere near 'normal'. Since realising that my hair regrowth has not followed the pattern of what the oncologist told me I have done a little research and discovered there are a small percentage of women whose hair never grows back much at all so I feel lucky to have the bit I've got. It seems to me that it is growing although at about a tenth of the speed and very thin. I'm hoping for some improvement over the next year or two and am glad that over the months I am seeing a tiny bit of progress. I wish the oncologist had prepared me for this. It's harder than losing a breast.
