Furry mouth
Well Chemo 5 has not been quite as easy as the others. The main issue is my mouth, no ulcers just white coating all over and now I have no taste at all which is of course affecting my interest and abi...
@KayB55 my mouth gets shredded every round of chemo. Can relate. So disappointing to cook up a nice meal for everyone and not be able to taste it. Sigh.
Heres how I survive.
Soda water, mineral water . Mt Franklin do mineral water with a spritz of fruit which I love. Avoid spicy food. Yep eggs work for me too! Toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches. Stewed fruit . I can taste Japanese food and everyone laughs at me putting heaps of salt on my food so I can taste it.
YOGHURT is the best. And when the ulcers are bad too, sometimes I have been known to go to the ice cream shop and buy myself a sundae for dinner. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!
I agree with a soft brush of the tongue. Slightly horrifying at how much gunk comes off. :s EEEEEWWWW
