Lilliane the cold cap is worth it. I was given a sedative to take 30 mins before starting, which knocked me out and gave me much needed sleep after the wakefulness of the steroids from the day before. I went without the sedative on the last chemo and as I had reduced hair I must have taken leave of my senses. It was like childbirth, but it gradually wore of. Definitely recommend the sedative. Didn't cost me anything except time and I was in no hurry to go anywhere. No one can say how much hair will shed. It's all individual. I shed about 50% with extra loss above the temples and a patch at the back below the crown. It shed for a much longer period, about 5 weeks after my final chemo mid Feb. The place where I lost it most is now about 1/4 inch long. It's all growing every which way but happy to see I've got some. Good luck with yours.
