Chronic heartburn on AC chemo
Hi all- I am on second round of my AC and have had 6 days of chronic heartburn - doubled my medication plus taking gaviscon plus taking anti nausea even though not nauseous
anyone else had this- it really worries me if it gets worse for next 2 as don’t think I can cope with it

- SisterMemberGet on to your oncology clinic straight away - don't suffer in silence! They send you home with the minimum but it's not unusual to have something different. I was in absolute misery for two days after my first AC - reflux and nausea. For the rest of treatment I was on Nexium or another one that I can't remember, and Ativan (fantastic for nausea but knocks you out).
- Blossom1961MemberI was up with heartburn all night after my first chemo. The prescription medication worked for me but I had to have it everyday right through until the end of AC. I feel for you, it was awful. Spicy foods and any wheat product made mine worse. Tell your doctor or onco you want the strongest relief they can give. Sending big hugs
