Chemo side effects
Interesting that 2 years after Chemo, peripheral side effects have returned, nerves damaged. How strange settled for 2 years and now returned, How much damage must chemo do to our systems. Still we do not refuse as we cling to hope! Maybe one day they can refine treatments to the cancer cells, lets hope

- NefertariMemberOh no, you poor thing @Cassina
My PN is improving after just 7 months :'( with my hands almost normal and just a few toes are still numb.
My oncologist never mentioned it could come back, drat! - AfraserMemberI have had PN for nearly seven years and, as mentioned, in the progress is at the speed of a glacier but it’s still progress. I got the tips of my toes back a couple of years ago, still working on the middle bits! So damaged but not dead. I haven’t really noticed much difference with temperature.
- CassinaMemberThank you, I can live with it, not there all the time, but interesting that side effects return, Oncologist said the nerve damage is permanent and may worsen with the cold, however it has been really hot ( I think sometimes they say anything to soothe you!)
- AfraserMemberMmm, that’s disappointing. I still have damage but it improves, albeit unbelievably slowly. I am not sure I’d be at all pleased if it started getting worse again! I hope it settles again and soon. Best wishes.
