The amount of hair being the thickness, plus texture, being fine medium or coarse, is already decided before you're born. Once your hair is out of your head it's dead. If your hair is fine and all one length and it's given a blunt cut it will feel thicker. Think of the end of a shaving brush. It doesn't mean you were given more hair. Every hair grows at a different rate, hence when you're ready for a haircut it will feel bitty due to the irregularity.. A trend of long haired haircuts have thinned out the ends so that they look more wispy. That's if you're lucky to be blessed with naturally medium to thick hair. After losing your hair it will grow back at irregular rates. Personally I had the cold cap on my long hair. It shed a fair bit and the the temples and crown were more severe When it got to not being fit for public viewing I clippered it off with an attachment that made it about one and a half inches all over.. That was 9 months ago As it grew I kept cutting off the odd wispy bits. I've had one mild haircut.. I now have a decent growth of curly wurley hair.. Growing it to my shoulders.
If you have a lot of wispy just level it so it's tidy, as the rest of it grows.. If it's growing through trouble free, let it grow enough to be able to have a style cut into it eventually.. As it's growing, if you muss some hair shaper into it and give it a bit of a messy any way but which, on top, it will look like it's meant to be short If you don't like the colour have a change. Nows the time.. A new hairdo is better than any pill
