ball of foot pain

Hi,

Just wondering if many of you ladies have suffered with this?  I am 12 month's post my second lot of chemotherapy (I had a recurrance 18mths after my 1st diagnosis).  I have really bad pain under the ball of my foot which is much worse when I stand for long times.  It feels like there is a marble under my foot.  Has anyone had experience with this and have any tips for me.  Many thanks.

  • Well now two years on and it is there intermittently. I have orthotics and have spent a fortune at podiatrists. I find when it is bad I just wear my orthotics more. Seem to be surviving with it at present. I too am so over appointments Paula x
  • Hi, I had this but I had it prior to chemo anyway.  Initially, it felt like a marble under my foot.  I have what is called "Plantar Faciitus". Now, when I get out of bed or sit for any length of time the soles of my feet are stiff and a bit sore but after about 20 seconds of walking around they are fine.  It is the tendons in the bottom of my feet - once stretched they are ok.  I have also been told I probably just need orthotics. One gets sick of going to doctors.  So at the moment I put up with it.

  • Hi, Firstly Georgie, sorry I did not reply to your message, must have been a stressful time. Thanks ladies for you suggestions. It is almost a year since I posted that. It is slowly...very slowly getting better. It is actually not something I can palmate but just feels like a marble when I walk. However is much better. Thanks Paula :)
  •  It might be a ganglion, and may settle in time. I had something like that..after wearing higher heeled shoes. I find I prefer lower and more cushioned footwear these days. Have you showed your GP?

    Kathy.
