Thanks Finita and Pollyanne58 for your lovely comments.  My Son (who is now 40) has A.D.H.D. and his Doctor used to tell me that I was a very strong Woman because he said most Women would turn to drink or drugs in the same situation but that I just kept on going.  Until then, I never thought I was because I am very quiet and felt insignificant.  I can be determined and stand up for what is right and have been told that I am strong a couple of times before.  I just look for the light at the end of the tunnel., never thinking of giving up.  I guess it's a good thing.  Thanks for my prayers.  I am disassociated from my Siblings for religious reasons, but I am very fortunate to have a lot of good Friends and the support of all you lovely Ladies as well.  I do miss my Siblings and love them so much but I can never go back to something that I lost faith in growing up.  So, thank you all for being there and listening to all my troubles.  I really appreciate your support and am here with a listening ear if you need to vent at any time.  Love, Ruth xx

I just want to say that you are a true inspiration to us all...here you are with your back ache , no energy and still socializing with your friends under such incredible circumstances . You are a pillar of strength and very appreciative of your good fortune for having such  good friends and family , it is no wonder that God is looking over you ...you are   beautiful ! .  I will also be asking a favour of our Australian Saint Mary Mackillop ( Mary of the Cross) to pray  for you and all of us BC sisters.   Myself like your cousing always feel an inner peace after praying .

Hi Finita,

Thanks for the encouragement.  I know that God has been with me along the way.  My Cousin has been praying for me and feels very peaceful when he does.  I am finding it hard with my back ache and no energy but at least I am still able to socialise with my Friends.  If I was housebound it would be harder to cope with.  I am so fortunate to have good Friends and Family  and the Friends on this site.  It has just been a bit overwhelming with everything going on but I know that God will me the strength to carry me through like he always has.  Love, Ruthxxx

Thank you so much Pollyanne and yes, I will be doing as Kathleen suggested and will be talking it over with my oncologist .  I am very happy for you spending beautiful and precious time outdoors in your motorhome ...as for the flies...don't forget the  'Aerogard !!!  lol .

My darling girl, what can I say, except that you are really pretty much full on with so mcuh and the double whammy really tops it .  I really do wish you all the very best with your left kidney .and with your breasts surgery . As for having a colonoscopy done yearly, that is not so bad ...I had it done too and found to have diveticullum disease . Continue  to feel positive among all the negatives and be strong . I wish you all the very best and may God give you all the necessary strength to see you throught it all .

Finita, I can not believe that they wouldn't do your gene test.  I know the Government is tightening up on Health.  I was sent there by the Hospital as I had just lost my Mum and other Family members.  I was tested for Lynch Syndrome as I lost my Father and my Brother has Bowel cancer.  I recieved the results on Wednesday and found out that I have this mutated gene as well as Braca 2.  A double whammy.  I was very upset to get the results because I thought I was fine.  Now I have to have colonoscopies every 12 Months.  On top of that I only have one Kidney functioning and there is a large cyst with hydronephrosis on my left Kidney.  As well as seeing the Urologist and having tests, I am awaiting propalaptic surgery on my breasts.  Thankfully, I have had my ovaries and uterus removed so that solves that problem.  It has been very draining and I will be glad when it's all over but at least I am still here.
