Dear Viv You're absolutely right, of course! Some people really have no idea, do they? I went over to Adelaide a while ago to be part of an extended family celebration. I could tell my cousin , the one closest to my age, was plucking up the courage to talk to me all afternoon. When he finally did, the words were; "so what caused the cancer then?" Some people really have no understanding at all. And I have 2 sisters-one who is in touch daily, finding out how I am, she came and stayed with me for both my mastectomies-the other sister I never hear from....ever! Great, isn't it?! No wonder we become depressed, worried, can't sleep, go over the past etc. Please come join my depression and anxiety group. I started it 4am one morning when I was lying awake worrying about things. We can talk to each other on here-it helps a lot. The fact is, some try and help, but really have no idea what we're going through, they simply don't understand.
