If you check with your doctor, everyone, privately insured or not, are entitled to a Mental Health Extended Program, which means you get several counselling appointments, usually with a psychologist. I have had it once before, & found it very beneficial.
If you go through your GP and ask for it, they go through various things ( like a serious of questions to "measure your level" of depression/anxiety, then get the ball rolling about referring you to someone.
This is the easiest way. Lets know how you go.
