Hi Pollyanne58 :-)You may get a couple of different answers here. My doctor has agreed after me trying two of these drugs over three years to allow me to stop. I am still, five months later getting shoulder pain. The pain elsewhere is better, nearly gone, so I'm hoping that this too will end. It's the unknown of permanent pain or damage that finally made me decide to stop. Three years is a good marker if you don't have a recurrence and mine was low grade. I couldn't cope with the way they made me feel along with the pain. I have just starting taking a joint pain supplement along with krill oil and I've noticed a marked difference which is fantastic. I don't understand why we aren't advised of this when we commence these drugs. Not many women that I know haven't experienced pain to some degree on them. I also know a couple who developed trigger finger. It stopped with the drugs which is great news too. It's one of the harder choices to make and applies to your particular circumstance. It is good to have somewhere like here to discuss topics that affect us long after diagnosis.
